About MTS
MTS (Multi Tasking Staff) exam conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) at national for those candidates who has cleared the 10th exam to recruit Multi Tasking Staff in numerous Central Government Departments/ Ministries/ Offices.
MTS exam is conducted in two phase (TIER)
(A) Tier I: Computer based MCQ
(B) Tier II: Written Test (Pen Paper Mode): Letter/Application Writing/ Essay Writing
Nationality
A citizen of India or
A subject of Nepal, or Bhutan or
A refugee of Tibet (China) who came to India before January 1, 1962, with an intention of settling permanently in India.
A person of Indian origin who has migrated from either/or Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries including Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with an intention of settling permanently in India.
Note: All the candidates other than the citizens of India have to produce a certificate of eligibility.
Education:
The candidates must have passed Matriculation Examination (10th Pass) or equivalent from a recognized Board.
Age:
As the vacancies for MTS are in two age groups i.e.
(i) 18 to 25 years
(ii) 18 to 27 years,
Age Relaxation will be applicable as per govt. norm.
Number of Attempts:
For each category, the number of attempts allowed in the SBI PO Exam is:

- There will be negative marking of 0.25 for each question.
- There is no sectional cut-off.
- For every exam student has to write prelims exam separately and cleared students will be eligible for mains.

Tier-2
- The examination will be of descriptive type & will be conducted only through offline mode and will be qualifying in nature.
- The applicants have to write Essay/Letter/Application etc.
- The examination will be of total 50 marks & the duration will be of 30 minutes.
