What is MAH CET MBA 2026?

The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test for MBA (MAH CET MBA), officially known as MAH MBA/MMS-CET, is a state-level management entrance examination conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra. It is the primary gateway for admission to MBA, MMS (Master of Management Studies), and PGDM programmes offered by over 300 B-schools across Maharashtra, including top institutes like JBIMS Mumbai, SIMSREE Mumbai, Welingkar Mumbai, PUMBA Pune, and SIES Navi Mumbai.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in any stream with at least 50% marks (45% for reserve category) in aggregate from any UGC / AIU recognized University.
• Final-year students are also eligible for applying for the MAH CET Exam provisionally. They need to submit proof of their education during MAH CET Counselling.
• Candidates who apply as NRI/Foreign National/Foreign Student/PIO/Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries must satisfy the basic educational qualification.
• If you have any score from CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/ATMA/GMAT, you are also eligible to apply for All India seats.

Age Limit

• The minimum age should be 21 years.
• There are no specifications for the upper MAH CET age limit.

Nationality

• The candidates must be Indian Nationals to clear the MBA CET Eligibility Criteria.

MAH CET MBA 2026 Exam Pattern

MAH CET MBA exam pattern is quite different from other MBA Entrance Exams in terms of the difficulty level and structure. The candidate must understand the individual weightage and the total marks allotted to each section in order to identify their preparation strategy.

Logical & Abstract Reasoning (100 Questions)

• Logical Reasoning: Linear and Circular Arrangement, Venn Diagram, Symbol-based Comparison, Series Completion, Coding/Decoding, Syllogisms, Sequential Output, Selection Criteria, Blood Relations, Conditional Coding, Direction Sense.
• Abstract Reasoning: Pattern recognition, figure series, mirror images, diagrammatic reasoning, spatial reasoning.

Quantitative Aptitude (50 Questions)

• Arithmetic, Quantitative Reasoning, Algebra, Data Sufficiency, Mensuration, Geometry, Probability, Ratio & Proportion, Numbers, Percentage, Trigonometry.

MAH CET MBA 2026 Registration Process

About one lakh candidates apply for MAH CET MBA/MMS exam every year. The first step to apply is to register online. Here is the process:

1. Visit the MAH CET MBA official website.
2. Click on ‘New Registration’ tab.
3. Click on ‘I accept and proceed’ tab.
4. Fill the registration form with personal details, address, and mobile phone number.
5. Create a password and click on save and proceed.
6. Note down the application number and password.
7. Enter personal details, domicile, and category.
8. Upload a valid document for proof of identity.
9. Upload photo and signature in the prescribed format.
10. Enter test city preferences.
11. Complete preview and validate the information.
12. Pay application fee through Credit Card / Debit Card / Internet Banking.

MAH CET CAP Counselling Process

CAP or Centralized Admission Procedure is held post declaration of results. CAP is conducted in three rounds which are conducted online for qualified candidates.

Steps in CAP Counselling

1. Registration: Log in using the application number, roll number, date of birth, and password. Fill out the online application form.
2. Fee Payment: General category (domicile and non-domicile) – Rs 1000, Reserved category – Rs 800. Pay online.
3. Verification of Documents: Upload documents as per the specification provided by authorities.
4. Seat Allotment and Preference Filling: Fill preferences of courses and institutions before the CAP round. Once confirmed, no further changes are allowed.
5. Reporting to Institute: After allocation, mark attendance at the college with the provisional admission letter and all necessary documents. Failure to show up cancels the admission.
6. Confirmation of Admission: Receive COE (Confirmation of Enrolment) from the respective college once the procedure is completed.
