About SSC
SSC, Staff Selection Commission is recognized board under the administrative control of Central Govt. to recruit in various non-technical and technical post of Group B and Group C for central Govt. It conducts various exam for various post for graduate and undergraduate students, depends upon the requirement. There are some famous exam are there which is written below
1) Combined Graduate Level (CGL)
2) Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL)
3) Multitasking Staff (MTS)
4) Stenographer (Grade C and Grade D)

6) SI in Delhi Police, CAPF and ASI in CISF

One of the most famous exam conducted by SSC is Combined Graduate level (CGL) for fresh graduates for different post like, Income tax officer, Assistant Audit Officer, Central Excise Inspector, Assistant Accounts Officer, Junior Statistical Officer etc. that comes under the Group B and Group C services of Central Govt.
(A) Nationality/Citizenship
A citizen of India or
A subject of Nepal, or Bhutan or
A refugee of Tibet (China) who came to India before January 1, 1962, with an intention of settling permanently in India.
A person of Indian origin who has migrated from either/or Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries including Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with an intention of settling permanently in India.
Note: All the candidates other than the citizens of India have to produce a certificate of eligibility.
Education: Candidate must have done Graduation in any stream from a recognized university.
Age Limit – Candidate’s age must be between 18 to 32 years old to be eligible for this examination. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved category and upper age limit is varies for different post.

The examination will be of descriptive type & will be conducted only through offline mode.
The applicants have to write Essay/Précis/Letter/Application etc.
The examination will be of total 100 marks & the duration will be of 60 minutes.
This Paper can be written in Hindi or English language.
Generally, word limit for essay writing is 250 words and for letter writing is 150 words.
There will be two exam conducted over here one is DEST (Data Entry Skill Test ) and second is CPT (Computer Proficiency Test). These exam is not applicable for all students and will be qualifying in nature.
Data Entry Skill Test
Applicable for Tax Assistant Posts in Central Excise & Income Tax.
Data entry speed skills will be tested to check a candidates typing speed at 8000 depressions per hour, means 2000 depressions in 15 min on given an article in English which they have to type on Computer.
This exam is qualifying in nature.
Computer Proficiency Test
This test consist three section mainly Word Processing, Spread Sheets and Generation of slides.
This test is applicable for the post like CSS, MEA, Inspector (Central Excise), Inspector (Preventive Officer), Inspector (Examiner).
About CHSL
CHSL (Combined Higher Secondary Level), exam conducted by SSC every year for 12th pass out students to Lower Division Clerk, Junior Secretariat Assistant, Postal Assistant, Sorting Assistant, and Data Entry Operators in many Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations of the Govt. of India.
SSC CHSL exam is conducted in three phase (tier), which mention below
(A) Tier I: Computer based MCQ
(B) Tier II: Written Test (Pen Paper Mode): Letter/Application Writing/ Essay Writing
(C) Tier III: Skill/Computer Proficiency test (typing speed)

The candidates must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University For LDC/ JSA, PA/ SA, DEO (except DEOs in C&AG) and
For Data Entry Operator (DEO) in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG) Candidates must pass12th Standard in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent
(C) Age Criteria
Candidate’s age must be between 18 to 27 years old to be eligible for this examination. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved category as well as for different post.

The examination will be of total 100 marks & the duration will be of 60 minutes.
This Paper can be written in Hindi or English language.
Generally, word limit for essay writing is 200-250 words and for letter writing is 150-200 words.
Candidates has to get at least 33% marks in order to clear Tier 2 of SSC CHSL exam
This test is qualifying in nature. Candidates will evaluating on some certain skill based on the applied post.
Typing Test: To qualify this exam Typing Test will require a speed of 35 words per minute for English and 30 words per minute for Hindi. Typing test is applicable for Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant, LDC, and Court Clerk posts.
Time duration of this exam is 15 minutes.
Skill Test: This test, applicable for Data Entry Operator (DEO), and requires data entry speed of 2,000 key depressions in 15 minutes ie 8000 key depression per hour on the computer.
MTS (Multi Tasking Staff) exam conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) at national for those candidates who has cleared the 10th exam to recruit Multi Tasking Staff in numerous Central Government Departments/ Ministries/ Offices.
MTS exam is conducted in two phase (TIER)
(A) Tier I: Computer based MCQ
(B) Tier II: Written Test (Pen Paper Mode): Letter/Application Writing/ Essay Writing
