Nationality
A citizen of India or
A subject of Nepal, or Bhutan or
A refugee of Tibet (China) who came to India before January 1, 1962, with an intention of settling permanently in India.
A person of Indian origin who has migrated from either/or Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries including Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with an intention of
settling permanently in India.
Note: All the candidates other than the citizens of India have to produce a certificate
of eligibility.
Education:
A candidate must hold a graduation certificate in any discipline with an aggregate of 50% marks or above.
A candidates must have knowledge of computers as well as have proficiency in the official language of the concerned state of Union Territory.
Age:
Candidate’s age must be between 20 to 28 years old for this examination. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved category as per Govt. norms.
Number of Attempts:
For each category, the number of attempts allowed in the RBI Assistant Exam is:

- There will be negative marking of 0.25 for each question.
- There is no sectional cut-off.
- For every exam student has to write prelims exam separately and cleared students will be eligible for mains.

Note:
(1) Total time for Prelims exam will 60 min and based on Multiple choice question
(2) Negative Marking (0.25 marks) is applicable for every incorrect attempt.
(3) Prelims exam is only qualifying in nature.
