IPMAT (Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test) is a national-level entrance
exam conducted by IIM Indore for admission to the 5-year Integrated Program
in Management (IPM) offered by IIM Indore, IIM Ranchi, and other management colleges in India.
IPMAT is held every year in the month of June across 35 cities in the country. The exam is designed for
students who have just completed Class 12 and aspire to pursue a career in management right after school.

IPMAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria
The students must fulfill the eligibility criteria for IPMAT for admission to the five-year Integrated
Programme in Management as mentioned below:
Age Limit
- Candidates belonging to the General category must be born on or after August 1, 2004.
- IIM Indore provides 5-year relaxation for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD categories.
Educational Qualification
- Candidates should have qualified Higher Secondary (10+2) or must be appearing in any equivalent examination.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: General category candidates should have a minimum of 60% marks in Standard X/SSC and Standard XII/HSC or equivalent examinations.
- SC/ST/PwD candidates get 5% relaxation (i.e., minimum 55%).
IPMAT 2026 Exam Pattern

IPMAT Selection Process
The selection process for IPM at IIM Indore and other participating institutes has two stages:
Stage 1: IPMAT Aptitude Test
- Candidates have to obtain minimum qualifying marks as per the cut-off prepared by IIM Indore to move on to the next stage.
- The cut-off is based on overall and sectional scores.
Stage 2: Personal Interview (PI)
- Candidates who qualify for the Aptitude Test round will be eligible for the Personal Interview.
- The interview judges the students’ level of confidence, communication skills, and general knowledge.
