CLAT is the most common law entrance exam in India that is conducted for admission to 22 NLUs. Every year more than 60,000 students appear for CLAT to secure admission in UG or PG programmes. Eligibility Criteria
The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has announced the eligibility criteria of CLAT. Candidates who want to apply for the national level law entrance exam must meet the CLAT eligibility criteria before filling the application form. Educational Qualification
1. Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam (Class 12 exam in April/May, 2024) are also eligible to appear in CLAT. However, such candidates must produce the certificate of qualifying examination at the time of admission failing which their admission will be cancelled.
2. Candidates must have passed their qualifying examination (Class 12) with at least 45% aggregate marks from a recognized board or institution.
3. SC and ST candidates are required to secure at least 40% or equivalent grade.

There is no age limit for appearing in UG CLAT for pursuing LLB courses in national law universities.
