There are two main stages of the TISS admission process. Here we have explained every step in detail:
Stage 1: TISSNET exam (Explained in detail above)
Stage 2: Online Assessments (OA)
Online Assessments
OA is conducted for the duration of 20-30 minutes by a three-member panel. The aim of this round is to assess the candidate’s interest in the programme applied. Online Assessment will be further divided into two components:
- Extempore reflection on a given topic
In this round panel members will be given relevant topics to the programme of study and the candidates will be required to present the reflection on the same for 2-3 minutes. In case, candidates are not comfortable with the given topic they will have the option to ask for the second topic. There will be no third choice.
- Online Personal Interview (OPI)
In this round, the three-panel members will interact with the candidate to understand his/her motivation, preparedness and interest along with the basic subject knowledge. With the help of OPI candidates’ understanding of social and economic factors will be explored.
Note: Candidates are shortlisted based on their performance in TISSNET 2023. Candidates’ selection would also depend on the number of seats per course, the number of applicants along with the score of the candidate. Notably, the score of TISSNET would only be used to shortlist the candidates, it will not be used for evaluation for arriving at the final score. On the contrary, the TISSMAT score will be added with the PIT and PI score for final selection.
