IBPS PO Prelims Exam Highlight
IBPS PO Prelims Exam will be computer based test, consist 100 multiple choice question and total duration of an exam will be 60 Min.
There are three section and each section has own time limit and own sectional cut-off. A candidates has to clear sectional cut-off of each section as well as over all cut-off of the paper.
For every wrong attempt, one-fourth of the marks is given as Penalty.
IBPS PO Prelims exam is qualifying in nature and this marks does not count for mains exam.
IBPS PO Mains Exam Highlight
IBPS PO Mains Exam will be computer based test, consist 155 multiple choice question, Descriptive of 2 question of Essay and Letter writing and total duration of an exam will be 210 Min.
A candidates has to clear sectional cut-off of each section as well as over all cut-off of the paper to get call for Interview Round.
For every wrong attempt, one-fourth of the marks is given as Penalty.
IBPS PO Mains exam Score will be counted for Final Selection Round.
IBPS PO Interview Process
Qualified students in IBPS Mains exam will be called IBPS PO interview.
IBPS PO Interview carries a total of 100 marks.
The minimum qualifying marks in the interview are 40% for general category and 35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWBD candidates.
The interviewer will assesses a candidate’s overall personality, specific subject knowledge (students interest), and general awareness about banking, Finance, present situation of Country and Government.
IBPS PO interview will be generally for 15 to 20 min but may take extra time for verification document and background verification.
IBPS PO Final Selection
The final selection in IBPS PO is based on score obtained in IBPS PO mains exam and IBPS PO interview exam and weightage given to the IBPS PO mains exam and IBPS PO interview is 80:20.
Once the interview round is done, Provisional Allotment is done based on the basis of a candidate’s merit & preferences order and vacancies available with the bank. IBPS will send confirmation email to all candidates at their registered email IDs about the bank they have allotted. After this process, the role of IBPS will finish, and the further procedure will be done by the allotted bank.
The Provisional Allotment does not mean an offer of employment i.e. if at any recruitment stage; it is found that the candidate does not satisfy the eligibility criteria his candidature would be canceled.
